Week 12 teams have been published, the little birdie who told me selection was good has been relieved of all future selection duties, it’s been another tough one for the skippers although somehow, we have managed to get a 5th team out so fair play to those stepping up to play in that one.
So, let’s give you a high-level overview of the runners and riders to assist your selection this week.
The 1XI host Hornchurch Athletic and welcome back Lee Knight (6.7m) and Adam Knight (6.8m) to bolster the batting and bowling power. The run makers from last week namely Michael Edwards (5.5m) and Tom Willats (6.5m) will be hungry for more.
The 2XI are back playing two teams again as they travel to Hadleigh and Thundersley. Daryl Woodford (7.0m) will lead the team as they look to push on from last weeks magnificent victory. Unfortunately, Rama Bashamoni (4.9m) has pulled out with an injury, but Andy Freeman (4.8m) is a welcome returnee. Drew Robinson (3.9m) and Dave De Jong (5.1m) could be good value for your team as in form batters.
The 3XI are also on the road as they travel to Old Brentwoods. Skipper Ian Rudder (4.5m) is back to lead the team and will have 4XI captain Dan Copp (4.7m) by his side. Good to also see Andrew Love (n/a) and Louis Hales (3.9m) back in match day action.
The 4XI are at home to Billericay looking to boost the points total that sees them currently sitting in mid table. Joe McCarthy (3.5m) leads the team which also sees Adam Pickett (5.6m) back behind the stumps. Freddie Robinson (4.5m) adds to the bowling power along side fellow young guns Sam Stannard (4.0m), Emma Poskitt (3.0m), Connor Filsell (4.0m). Some good value there.
Sadly, didn’t receive the MVP email this week so no assistance provided there. I have two tips though for this weekend so listen carefully – 1. get your captains pick right, as we saw last week the right pick turns a good week into a great week. 2. If you’re completely stumped, run out of ideas, caught undecided (see what I’m doing there!) or just haven’t got a scooby, if all else fails – see who Harry Robinson (4.5m) has transferred in!!
