In 2025, we proudly marked a century of playing at the Stanford Recreation Ground — a true milestone in our club’s history. Over the years, this ground had been the heart of our community, hosting countless unforgettable moments, passionate matches, and lasting friendships.
Throughout the year, we celebrated 100 years of tradition, camaraderie, and love for the game, with a series of exciting events and activities to honour this incredible achievement.
SLHCC Memorabilia Evening - Friday 9th May 2025
As part of our celebrations for 100 years at Stanford Recreation Ground, we hosted a Memorabilia Evening on Friday, 9th May 2025. It was a unique chance to relive the rich history of our club through treasured photos, artefacts, and stories from across the decades.
Many came along to share memories, reconnect with old friends, and celebrate the moments that have made our club what it is today.

SLHCC vs MCC - Thursday 29th May 2025
To celebrate 100 years of cricket at Stanford Recreation Ground, SLHCC’s 1st XI faced the prestigious MCC on Thursday, 29th May 2025.
It was a true honour for the club to secure such a highly sought-after fixture, and it proved to be a fitting way to mark our centenary with a memorable day of cricket.
The all-day game at The Rec was one of the highlights of our centenary celebrations, following a series of events held to commemorate this historic milestone (officially marked on Friday, 9th May 2025).
