FANTASY CRICKET SCOUTING REPORT - WEEK 2
The teams are out and there are some interesting selections which means some difficult decisions for you as a fantasy team manager.
A few players making their league bow for the season include current league leader Jack Carter (840 points), back in the first team for their visit to Wickford. Will Jack (5.5m) transfer himself into his own table topping team and will popular picks Ralf Fernando (7m) and Thomas Willats (6.5m) be added to more teams. Tough decisions!
In the 2’s another popular selection, Michael Edwards (5.5m) takes the gloves behind the stumps, will he be catching more fielding points? If you’re stumped, he may be worth a shout. Skipper Dave De Jong (5m) will be looking for his team to bounce back from last weekends result as they host Colchester & East Essex 2XI so expect more points from them. Who are you backing? Tough decisions!
The 3’s see Joe Robertson (5m), Marc Lewis (5.5m) and Max Willats (5.5m) returning to the team as they look to build on their great start to the season. Some eyes may be on the new boys Rama Bashamoni (5m) and Vinay Kumar (4.5m) who both made promising league debuts last week. Westcliff 3XI are the opponents. Who’s in your thoughts? Tough decisions!
The 4’s recall a couple of players to the fold in Connor Filsell (4m) and Dave Willats (4.5m) with the latter playing his first match since August 2022. Who’s brave enough to bring him or Connor in? Or did the young guard of Bobby Kenyon (3.5m), Jordan Pickett (3m) and James McCartney (3.5m) impress you enough last week. Tough decisions!
So, plenty of thinking for all fantasy league managers this weekend. Do you stick or twist, or maybe sacrifice some points for an extra transfer? The decision is yours and you now have less than 24 hours to decide. To assist further the league have provided their MVP’s based on performance in week 1 as can be seen in the graphic below, but do you agree, who is your MVP?
Good luck to all managers and even more so to all players.
Enjoy your cricket this weekend.
