Fantasy Cricket League Update - Week 1

15 May 2024

Thank you to everyone who entered a team into this seasons Fantasy League, we ended up with 32 teams, slightly down on last year but still well supported. Prize money is still to be worked out and we will advise as soon as possible.
The aim this year is to get the team sheets out as early as we can and certainly by 11am on the Friday giving a full 24 hours to tinker with your team and find that in form captain for double points.
Looking at the first weeks selections and popular picks included Thomas Willats (£6.5m, 75% ownership), Michael Edwards (£5.5m, 63%), Dan Copp (£4.5m, 53%) and the young Robinson brothers (Harry - £4.5m, 47% / Freddie - £4.5, 59%). But were they value for money, will they score enough points to justify their price tag? Only time will tell as this is week 1 of 18.
Biggest point scorer of the week was Ralf Fernando (£7m) who took 5-22 on his league debut to earn him a massive 224 points. Four people captained Ralf, for a nice double points score of 448. This includes early league leader Jack Carter, who scored a cool 840 points in Week 1.
Special shoutouts to Bobby Kenyon (£3.5m) with 56 points and Jordan Pickett (£3m) with 47 points who jointly saw the 4th XI to victory last Saturday. Can they repeat that next weekend, will you transfer them in?
See below a snapshot of the some Week 1 statistics and standings, but will this change as form and availability comes and goes? Keep an eye on our social media channels on Friday @ 11am for this weekends team news. You will have 24 hours to make any substitutions.
Good luck everyone!
