Week 6 teams have now been published and I think we’ve all realised that once again selection has been challenging for the captains. Now, please pull up a chair, settle down, no talking at the back and I’ll try and get you through it so you can make informed decisions for this week’s picks.
The 1XI will be missing Lee Knight (6.7m) and Ralf Fernando (7.4m) as they welcome Leigh on Sea to The Rec. Michael Edwards (5.5m) and Kalum Sampath (5.5m) come in as fit and able replacements with the latter making his first appearance of the season.
The 2XI travel to Fives and Heronians also having to make changes. Returnees include Mohit Bhagwani (7.1m) and Louis Hales (4m). Daryl Woodford (6.5m) fresh from his wicket taking exploits of last weekend will be looking to add his name onto the honours board for a second consecutive week. Skipper Dave De Jong (5m) will take the gloves for this one.
Zak O’Keefe (4.5m) is back in the 3XI as they host Belhus. There are also call ups for Andy Freeman (4.5m), Brad Allen (3m) and George Church (3,5m). Scott Poskitt (4m) drops out and Emma Poskitt (3m) moves into the 4XI.
The 4XI sees skipper Dan Copp (4.6m) spend another week in the 3XI meaning Joe McCarthy (3.5m) continues as skipper as they travel to Wickford. Adam Pickett (5.5m) keeps the gloves for this week and the bowling will be led by Sam Stannard (4m) and Jay Placey (4.5m). The Geoff twins - Lake (6m) and Gullett (4m) are both missing.
So, I hope you were taking notes, there are plenty of changes meaning plenty of thinking for you as a fantasy team manager. Don’t forget the timed games start this week so maybe have a think about your tactics. Bowlers can bowl more overs so some of them may be good value for your team.
And of course, and I will make this very clear - Make sure you get your captain pick spot on. The right selection can make a good week, a great week.
To assist with your managerial decisions please see below the leagues latest MVP ratings. Will it help or hinder, it’s now over to you, deadline is 11am on Saturday.
Good luck to all managers and even more so to all players.
Enjoy your cricket this weekend.
