Stanford-Le-Hope Cricket Club Saturday 3rd XI v Epping on Sat 28 Jul 2012 at 13:00
Stanford-Le-Hope Cricket Club Won by 148 runs

Match report Jon Fuller and Steve Trigg took 9 wickets between them to bowl Stanford to a comprehensive victory by 148 runs on Saturday. Stanford won the toss and decided to bat first on yet another damp track but got off to a good start with Geoff Lake (50) and Rob Pearn (68) both making telling contributions. As soon as 200 was reached Captain, Neil Fuller decided to declare the innings on 204-6. After the interval, Epping showed no interest in the chase and after 10 overs were only 1 wicket down and only 15 runs on the board. The introduction of spinner Steve Trigg changed the game completely as wickets tumbled. He took his first five wicket haul for Stanford with the incredible figures of 5-19 off only 5.1 overs. With the experienced Jon Fuller(4-26) bowling well at the other end the game was wrapped up in the 21st over with only 2 Epping batsmen reaching double figures.
