The 2025 season is fast approaching and it is a momentous year for the club as we celebrate 100 years of playing at The Rec.
To kick off the year in style and to get the SLHCC family together we are organising a FAMILY RACE NIGHT.
The FAMILY RACE NIGHT will consist of 9 races and to get everyone involved we are looking for race sponsors and horse owners.
If you would like to sponsor a race or buy a horse or two please let us know by replying below or emailing us at slhcc1887@gmail.com. You can even name your horse yourself (don’t forget it’s a family night!)
We would like to sell horses for 8 races with the final race horses being sold at an auction on the night. The auction is always good fun so please come along, to watch and if you can, support us.
We run tote style betting with betting tickets costing just £1 each, odds are worked out on the night and announced prior to each race.
Placepots are once again available £5 for 1 or 2 for £8 - if you can’t make the night this is always a good way to show support and help the club. Please get in touch for more details.
There will be prizes for all winning owners and we will also look to run a raffle, donations of prizes gratefully accepted.
Bar will be open from 7.15pm
Please come along and bring the whole family for what promises to be a great start of the season fundraiser.
