Fantasy Cricket Scouting Report - Week 17

30 Aug 2024

We are now at the business end of the season and the fight for fantasy league points is crucial. Selection had already been difficult this week and then Old Brentwood’s chucked the towel in (could have done with that last week to mop up!) so the 3XI have no game meaning some of your players maybe be sans game – that’s French for not playing.
The 1XI are unchanged from last weeks washout with the only notable absences being Rob Page (6.8m) and Kalum Sampath (5.8m). The match at home to Benfleet is massive to the club with just 5 points needed for promotion. Go well boys!
The 2XI travel to Wickford with their division status already secured so will be much more relaxed. In form skipper Daryl Woodford (7.6m) has manged to get a team out which sees a return to the SLHCC whites of Peter Gray.
The 4XI make the long trek to Chelmsford looking for a win to consolidate their current position of 5th in the table. Captain Joe McCarthy (3.5m) welcomes back Jay Placey (4.5m) after injury and will be hoping opener Geoff Lake (6.4m) can continue his vintage form.
For you fantasy mangers still going strong, don’t forget to use your triple captain if you haven’t already, and if you do need to make a few transfers, please explore the wildcard if you still have it available. Its tight at the top of the table so a non-playing member of your team could hurt you so please check the teams carefully – make sure you have as many players playing as possible. Every point will count.
That’s it then for the penultimate time this season. If you’re playing, enjoy your cricket – if you’re spectating, enjoy your cricket and if you’re doing both, stay calm and behave.
